After a long day sometimes I like to unwind at a local bar in my neighborhood. Harp & Bard is a restaurant bar located on Dorchester Avenue that has a rather chill feel and is open from 11am to 1am every day of the week.
The drinks are good and the food is decent for a bar although I must say the Fish & Chips is amazing. On this occasion my friend and I had the Tiramisu for dessert. Here is what it looked like:
I was rather underwhelmed and disappointed by this tiramisu; there just wasn’t any real taste to this dessert. It was very very bland. Parts of the cake were dry (mostly around the edges) which is weird since the recipe usually requires ladyfingers to be soaked in espresso and rum so perhaps the cake isn’t being stored properly. The center was rather soggy and again had no taste so I just felt like I was eating wet cake. After a few bites I was done; there was no way I would waste my calories on a tasteless dessert. Although, this was not the worst dessert I have ever eaten it is definitely not one I would order again. So with that I give the Tiramisu at Harp & Bard a NAH.
